Bird Protection Quebec has partnered with Café Avia to offer 100% coffee certified Bird Friendly®, organic and Fair Trade coffee. No mixing – just 100% certified coffee.

BPQ Bird Friendly^® Coffee is available in 3 bag sizes ( 342g, 1kg and 2.5 kg), medium or dark roast beans or ground coffee.

Orders are shipped once a week on Wednesday. Orders received before 7 a.m. on Tuesday will be shipped on Wednesday. Orders received after the order deadline will be shipped the following week.

Description

BPQ Bird Friendly® Coffee

Coffee labeled with the designation Bird Friendly^®means that the beans are produced according to strict standards established by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. Bird Friendly^® beans must be both shade-grown and organic and undergo an independent third-party inspection process for it to receive the designation.

By purchasing Café Avia coffee on cafebirdfirendly.org you support winter habitat for boreal migrants, and at the same time support the important work of the charities you care about at home. A portion of the proceeds from each bag of coffee purchased on the website benefits your partner charity of choice, as well as the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center to support further conservation research.

Packaging

The coffee is packaged in an omnidegradable bag from the Canadian company TekPak Solutions. Omnidegradable means the entire bag including the liner and valve will completely biodegrade – you can even compost it in your own composter if you like. The top card on each bag is printed on Rolland Enviro 100 paper which is 100% post-consumer recycled material. The card is recyclable and biodegradable.

With the exception of the small batch label, the labels are certified compostable right down to the adhesive
