The Christmas Bird Count is a yearly census to track overwintering bird populations. Come join us to learn all about this important Citizen Science event and bird identification! We will go on a Christmas count-style guided bird walk. This event is geared towards kids and their families, but everyone is welcome to attend. If you are already a bird lover, consider bringing along a young friend or family member and “fledging” a new birder!
Hot chocolate and cookies will be served after the count.
What to bring
- This is primarily an outdoor event so remember to dress for the weather.
- There is no potable water at the Arboretum so a small backpack with snacks and a water bottle are recommended.
- Don’t forget your binoculars!
Admission: Please note that there is a fee to enter the Morgan Arboretum: https://mcgill.ca/morganarboretum/visit-us-0
Registration: Send us an email at education@birdprotectionquebec.org to register. Please provide your name and the number of adults and children that will be attending.
