Advocacy
Bird Protection Quebec (BPQ) is a non-partisan advocate for the conservation of birds and their habitats. Our efforts range from ensuring BPQ’s perspective is considered in urban planning to urging governments to oppose harmful industrial and development projects. We primarily advocate through formal correspondence and collaborative petitions with other conservation organizations; a collection of these letters is available via the links below.
BPQ has also engaged in public marches, such as the Collectif COP15 biodiversity walk in December 2022. This event was a major show of support for conservation during the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity that was being held in Montreal at that time.
